Columbia-class SSBN Technology Development
SPA has been a critical partner to the Navy’s number one acquisition program, the Columbia-class submarine (SSBN), since 2005. SPA contributes significantly across all aspects of technology development, design, manufacturing, and readiness for the Columbia-class submarine which will assume the role of the submarine presence in the US strategic nuclear force.
Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems
SPA has been instrumental in supporting the Navy in deploying the DOW’s first systems to counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in the US. SPA’s robust analysis process supported the drafting of new national policy, assessing safety risks, and identifying required capabilities to address critical gaps in protecting our nation’s strategic assets.
AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Program Office
SPA is the prime professional services contractor to the US Navy office that supports Australia’s acquisition of a sovereign, conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarine capability. Services include submarine subject matter expertise, Foreign Military Sales case management, cost analysis, program risk management, and other areas.
