Douglas Coleman is the Chief Legal Officer of Systems Planning & Analysis (SPA), where he leads the company’s legal strategy, corporate governance, compliance, and government-contracts oversight in support of national security and advanced technology missions. With more than 25 years of leadership experience across aerospace, defense, and technology organizations, he is a trusted advisor to executive leadership on legal and regulatory matters in highly regulated environments.
Prior to joining SPA, Mr. Coleman served as Regional General Counsel for the Americas for ABB’s Motion business area, leading legal strategy and operations across North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. He previously served as Chief Legal Officer at Reliable Robotics and as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Aerion Corporation. Earlier in his career, he held senior legal leadership roles at Spirit AeroSystems, BAE Systems, and Curtiss-Wright Corporation, and began his legal career as a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
Mr. Coleman holds a Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson School of Law, where he was a member of the Woolsack Honor Society, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Aviation Administration from the University of North Dakota, where he graduated magna cum laude.
