The foundation of our support revolves around the application of scientific and mathematical methods to transform both quantitative and qualitative information into critical insights that inform decisions. Our team of operations research analysts, modelers, programmers, and data scientists empower senior leaders to make more effective decisions by distilling complex information into simple but transformative insights. We merge our clients’ data with our unique models and tools to generate entirely new data and observations. SPA’s ability to tailor this construct to our clients’ requirements assures that they receive clear and actionable recommendations that advance their missions.
Please see our project gallery for examples of missions we’ve supported.
Recovering isolated personnel can be challenging, especially when the ability to distribute personnel recovery information is limited. We helped the Combatant Commands bring more people home by supporting the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency’s identification of information systems that accurately and rapidly disseminate information for the recovery of personnel.
With the increase of powerful hurricanes and other natural disasters, rapidly understanding at-risk infrastructure in regions of concern is paramount to DHS’ National Risk Management Center’s (NRMC) mission. Through the development of the Cluster Analysis Tool for Critical Homeland (CATCH) Infrastructure, we improved the NRMC’s ability to identify and estimate the impact of infrastructure unavailability during Hurricanes Florence and Michael.
Maintaining a fully operational Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) center is critical to US Strategic Command accomplishing the strategic deterrence mission. Utilizing GCAM® and other SPA tools, we evaluated system performance to inform future decisions on modernizing the NC3 architecture.
